Challenge
Coordinating damage documentation across teams
Before magicplan was introduced company-wide, it was not used as a standard tool across brasa GmbH St. Ingbert. The company needed a consistent way for project managers, craftsmen, and administrative staff to work with the same documentation when handling damage cases reported by customers or insurance companies.
Solution
Using magicplan for site surveys and damage plans
brasa GmbH St. Ingbert has 40 employees across all divisions. All project managers in the company work with magicplan.
When damage is reported by a customer or an insurance company, one employee goes to the damage address and starts sketching with magicplan. In the floor plan, measurement points, a moisture meter, and other data are included to make the plan as comprehensive as possible.
After completing and reviewing the plan, it is processed in the company’s system and forwarded to the insurance company for approval. Once approval is received, the craftsmen are cleared to begin their work at the construction site. They are assigned the plan already created in magicplan, with any additional remarks as needed, so they know what to do.
Michael Sieg heard about magicplan from one of his colleagues. After taking over the management of brasa GmbH St. Ingbert, he introduced magicplan company-wide.
Onboarding was done through learning by doing. Michael Sieg and Dirk Steinmann familiarized themselves with the app during a three-hour airport delay, scanning the entire waiting area of Hamburg Airport. Employees download magicplan on their devices and begin using it directly, without auxiliary materials.
Results
Employee feedback and workflow quality
According to Michael Sieg, employee feedback on magicplan has been consistently positive. Employees enjoy working with the software, and no negative feedback has been received.
Feedback from insurance companies, surveyors, and field adjusters has also been positive.
Michael Sieg notes that while time savings are evident, the most significant change has been the improvement in the quality of administrative tasks. The workflow is smoother than before, and there is a common structure across departments, resulting in better overall work quality.
Outlook
Daily use of magicplan Cloud
brasa GmbH St. Ingbert uses the magicplan Cloud every day. The Cloud is essential for project overview and for the administrative staff in the office. According to Michael Sieg, onboarding to the Cloud was effortless because everything is logically structured.
When asked to describe magicplan in one word, both Michael Sieg and Dirk Steinmann chose the same word. “Professional.”
