What it does
Transfer point-to-point measurements from a DeWalt laser directly to walls or objects
Achieve 100% measurement accuracy for floor plans and site surveys
Switch between different dimensions in magicplan and update them instantly with the laser
Connect to supported DeWalt hardware via the app's internal device list
How it works?
The DeWalt laser device links to magicplan through a Bluetooth connection. Once an element is selected in the app, taking a measurement with the laser hardware automatically populates the corresponding dimension field.
Requirements
Active magicplan account
Supported Bluetooth-enabled DeWalt laser (DWHT78200-XJ or DW03201)
Mobile device with Bluetooth capability
Active project within the magicplan app
How to set it up
Turn on the DeWalt laser measuring device.
Open the magicplan app and enter a floor plan.
Tap the room you wish to measure.
Select a specific wall or object to edit its dimensions.
Open the details menu by swiping up on a phone or tapping the "i" icon on a tablet.
Tap the blue measurement value to open the "Change Measurement" pop-up.
Select the "Laser" option.
Find your DeWalt model under "Nearby Devices" and tap "Connect."
Perform the measurement with your DeWalt hardware and tap "Done" in the app.
