First, what is this?
The magicplan MCP is a connection between your magicplan workspace and the AI assistant you already use, like Claude or ChatGPT. Once it’s connected, you can ask about your projects in plain language and get real work back, built from your actual job data: the floor plan, the affected areas, the moisture readings, the photos, the estimates.
A skill is a ready-made recipe. It tells the assistant exactly how to do one restoration job well, so you get the same solid drying report or adjuster package every time, without spelling out the steps yourself. Grab the ones you want below.
Two things worth knowing up front. It’s read-only, so nothing here touches or changes your projects in magicplan. And you don’t need to be technical, if you can send a text, you can run one of these.

What it does: Reads the whole project (rooms, affected areas, measurements, photos, readings, forms, estimates) and then asks what the summary is for: a client call, an email you can send, an internal brief for the crew, or a status for the adjuster. You get the version that fits, not a data dump. It also tells you flat out what’s missing from the file.
What you get: A summary written for your purpose (talking points, a ready-to-send email, a crew brief, or a carrier status).

Drying report

What it does: Takes your moisture instruments and daily readings and builds a room-by-room drying report aligned to IICRC S500: where each material started, where it is now, and whether it’s hit dry standard. If a meter was placed but never read, it says so instead of pretending the job’s dry.
What you get: A printable drying report with your company name on it, room by room, ready for the client or the carrier.

What it does: Matches every photo to the room or item it documents and checks your coverage against what a solid file needs (overview, source, affected materials, meters in use, equipment, contents). Then it tells you which affected rooms are thin and exactly what to shoot next time you’re on site.
What you get: A room-by-room coverage check, a prioritized list of gaps, and a straight “ready to send?” answer.

Turn a loss into an itemized scope, off your own price list.
Say something like: “Build a mitigation scope for the Stanton Close water damage off my price list.”
What it does: Reads the job, asks you a few quick questions the plan can’t answer (rooms in scope, dry-in-place or tear-out, category and class, drying days), then builds the line items with the quantities worked out from your measurements and S500. It uses your price list, so the codes and units are yours. It carries no prices, just the SKUs, quantities, and the reason behind each one.

What it does: Lists, filters, and searches every project in your workspace and rolls it up: recent activity, jobs by tech, stalled jobs, new intake. Not sure what you want? It suggests the views that fit what you asked.
What you get: A clean list or a roll-up (counts, trends, or a one-page overview), whichever answers your question.

What it does: Surfaces where your estimates stand across a job or the whole workspace: what’s still in draft, what’s waiting on the carrier, and which affected rooms have no estimate at all. It sorts by what needs your attention first, so nothing sits forgotten.

Do I need to be technical to use this?
No. If you can send a text message, you can run these. You connect the MCP once, then you just ask for what you need in plain words.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
The ones you already use, like Claude and ChatGPT, and others that support skills. The skills aren't tied to any one of them.
Is my data safe? Can it change my projects?
The connection is read-only. The skills read what's in your workspace to do the work. They can't edit, move, or delete anything in magicplan.
What's an MCP, in plain terms?
It's the pipe between your magicplan workspace and your AI assistant. Once it's connected, the assistant can see your job data (only when you ask) and put it to work.
Do I have to install all seven?
No. Take the one you need today and come back for the rest. Or grab all seven at once.
What does the scope skill need from me?
Your price list (Xactimate, Verisk, or your own). It builds the quantities from your job and speaks in your codes and units. It doesn't touch pricing.
