Insta360 Cameras magicplan integration
Contents
About the integration
What it does
Capture 360° photos directly from the magicplan camera interface
Link panoramic images to room, floor, wall, or object levels for visual context
Edit and annotate 360° images with markups or text inside the app
Include interactive links to 360° photos in PDF and Photo reports
How it works?
The Insta360 camera creates its own Wi-Fi network that your mobile device joins. Once the connection is established in magicplan, you can trigger photo captures remotely. The camera screen provides the image preview, and the processed file is saved directly to your project.
Requirements
Active magicplan account
Supported Insta360 camera (ONE X, ONE R, ONE RS, X2, X3, X4, or X5)
Mobile device with Wi-Fi capability
Camera Wi-Fi name and password
How to set it up
Turn on the Insta360 camera and ensure Wi-Fi is enabled.
Open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone or tablet and connect to the camera's network.
Open a project in magicplan and navigate to the room or object you want to document.
Open the camera and select "360LINK" mode at the bottom of the screen.
Select "Insta360" as the camera brand.
Enter the camera’s Wi-Fi name and password into the magicplan prompt.
Tap "Connect" to link the hardware.
Use the physical camera screen to frame the shot, then tap the shutter button in magicplan.
Tap "Save" once the photo has processed.
ℹ️ Note: If the above steps do not correct your connectivity issues, restart both your 360 camera and the app, and attempt the connection steps again. If you are still unable to connect your camera, please reach out to our Support team.
