This integration connects Ricoh 360° cameras to magicplan using 360Link. It allows users to capture, edit, and attach immersive panoramic photos directly to rooms, walls, or objects within a project.

What it does

  • View a live preview of the camera feed on your mobile device before capturing a photo

  • Attach 360° panoramic images to specific locations on a floor plan

  • Annotate and markup 360° photos with text, shapes, or redactions inside the app

  • Include interactive 360° photo links in PDF reports for remote site reviews

How it works?

The Ricoh camera connects to your mobile device via Wi-Fi. Using the 360Link mode in the magicplan camera interface, you can trigger the shutter remotely. Images are then processed and stored within the magicplan project.

Requirements

  • Active magicplan account

  • Supported Ricoh Theta camera (e.g., Theta Z1, X, SC2, or V)

  • Mobile device with Wi-Fi capability

  • Camera serial number for initial pairing

How to set it up

  1. Turn on the Ricoh 360° camera and enable its Wi-Fi signal.

  2. Open a project in magicplan and navigate to a room or the photo section.

  3. Open the camera and select "360LINK" mode at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Select "Ricoh" as the camera brand.

  5. Enter the serial number found on the bottom of the camera hardware.

  6. If you have a custom Wi-Fi password, uncheck "Use Default Password" and enter your credentials.

  7. Tap "Connect" to establish the link and view the live feed.

ℹ️ Note: If the above steps do not correct your connectivity issues, restart both your 360 camera and the app, and attempt the connection steps again. If you are still unable to connect your camera, please reach out to our Support team.
